Coolangatta
The original heart of the Gold Coast, Coolangatta is the Southern Gold Coast’s CBD. This friendly, vibrant village is home to a thriving business community, an abundance of interesting shops, al fresco restaurants, cafes, clubs, pubs, live entertainment, cinemas and beachfront markets.
Coolangatta combines business with leisure to create a lifestyle that’s the envy of people around the world. Since the 1890s, generations of holidaymakers have returned year after year to soak up its relaxed atmosphere, beautiful beaches and quality accommodation, including family style apartments, many with spectacular ocean views.
Coolangatta’s broad white sandy beach stretches over a kilometre. At the southern end is Greenmount, a small, rocky, tree-lined headland and sheltered beach, patrolled year round, that’s a favourite with families, novice swimmers and surfers.
