Keeping our community safe is a shared responsibility. 

We ask that when attending Cooly Rocks On you follow COVID Safe practices to ensure a safe, friendly and fun environment for all. Together we can help slow the spread of the virus and keep our community safe.

We are working with Queensland Health to create a COVID Safe festival experience for Cooly Rocks On 2022. The health and safety of our attendees, volunteers and team is our top priority and we are committed to delivering a COVID Safe event in 2022.

In the event that Queensland’s restrictions change and impact the delivery of this event, we will keep you updated via our website and social media channels.

During the festival we will be using the Check In Qld mobile app to help keep your Cooly Rocks On experience COVID safe. To do your bit and help create a safe experience for everyone, all you need to do is:

Don’t have a smartphone? We’ll be able to help you check in during the festival.

What we’ll be doing

  • Monitoring any changes to COVID restrictions and updating our Covid Safe measures and procedures as needed.
  • Making hand sanitiser stations readily available throughout the event zone.
  • Conducting regular cleaning throughout the event zone to reduce the risks.
  • Utilising the Queensland Government Check In QLD mobile app for contact tracing purposes.

  • Engaging with volunteers to ensure COVID Safety is top of mind and help you, our attendees remember to keep social distancing.

What you’ll be doing

  • Staying home if unwell.
  • Following the latest COVID restrictions and requirements set by the Queensland Government.
  • Listening for any information and COVID Safe messages that are delivered before, during and after the event.
  • Downloading the official Check In QLD mobile app to register your attendance at the event.
  • Checking in at the event on arrival by the signed QR codes.
  • Maintaining social distancing and avoiding any crowded space.
  • Using hand sanitisers throughout the event zone to reduce the spread

Cooly Rocks On will be guided by the requirements from the Queensland Government at the time of the festival.

As of 1AM AEST on 14 April 2022, the requirement to check-in and to be fully vaccinated in a range of venues and events has come to an end. This means under the current health directive, Cooly Rocks On attendees will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination at indoor venues including the Elvis Precinct that hosts feature shows, the Pin-up Pageant and Harvest Moon Swing Ball.

If at any point Queensland Government requirements change, we will update you via our Cooly Rocks On channels.

We are working to ensure that our festival adheres to all Queensland Health COVID requirements. The health and safety of our attendees, volunteers and team is our top priority. Attendees will be encouraged to check-in using the Queensland Government mobile app, ‘Check In QLD’ this ensures we’re providing a COVID safe environment for not only our attendees but the wider community. Our team will continue to monitor the ever-changing environment and continue to provide updates via our website and social media channels should there be any changes to festival programming.

We plan on delivering Cooly Rocks On as you know and love it in 2022. We are working with Queensland Health to ensure that our festival complies with all COVID-19 requirements. If restrictions change that impact programming and format of the event, an announcement will be made via our social media channels and website.

Ultimately the decision to book flights and accommodation is yours, however we recommend getting in sooner rather than later as accommodation in Coolangatta and surrounding Gold Coast is filling up fast. Check out where to stay on the Gold Coast here.

Cooly Rocks On will be guided by the Queensland Government’s COVID-19 regulations. Unfortunately, any border restrictions that are in place at the time of the event will be out of our control. We will keep you informed on any modifications required to the programming and format of the event.

We plan to see Cooly Rocks On go ahead as we know and love it in 2022. However, given these uncertain and ever-changing times, it is hard to know what is ahead. We highly recommend enquiring about the refund/cancellation policy prior to making any bookings for this event, as any bookings made are at the discretion of the individual.
