Getting Here

Plan your trip to Cooly in advance using the information below. As there will already be hundreds of classic cars in the festival precinct, parking in the surrounding area is extremely limited, so plan to walk, cycle, car pool or use public transport to get to Cooly.

Travelling by Train or Tram

If are travelling from Northern Gold Coast or Brisbane regions you can connect to buses at Broadbeach South Tram Station.

The G-Link (Gold Coast Light Rail) runs from Helensvale – Broadbeach South.

You can transfer from the trainline to the tram at Helensvale Station.

The best way to plan your journey is via the Translink Journey planner or find the Translink Journey Planner app on the app store.

Travelling by Bus

Due to road closures for the event, all Griffith Street bus stops will be relocated to Lanham Street from midnight Friday 7 June to 10pm Sunday 9 June.

700 Tweed Heads – Broadbeach South Station

760 Tweed Heads – Robina via Airport, Varsity Lakes Station

768 Tweed Heads – The Pines via John Flynn Hospital

Day Parking

Goodwin Park, Coolangatta

Additional parking will be available for $10 per car per day in Goodwin Park on Saturday 8 June and Sunday 9 June, from 6.30am closing at 9pm. No overnight parking permitted. Enter via Lanham Street, Coolangatta, into Jarvis Lane, and find yourself just steps from the main precinct.

Tweed Heads Public School

Park at Tweed Heads Public School and walk into the festival. Located at Stuart Street, Tweed Heads. $10 all day or $20 overnight, operating Saturday 8 June from 8am, and Sunday 9 June from 8am.

Tweed Mall

Shop for all your convenience needs at Tweed Mall, with over 900 undercover car park spaces. Enjoy the free Cooly Rocks On entertainment in the centre, plus shopping and dining at Tweed Mall.

Disabled Parking

Disabled Parking bays are available in the Chalk Street parking lot on Lanham Street. Entry is via McLean Street and a disabled parking permit will be required to access this disabled parking area.

A Disabled Drop Off Zone is also available inside the precinct. Please enter through the Warner Street entry point. The Disabled Drop Off Zone is on Warner street next to The Strand.

Road Safety

With thousands of classic and custom cars lining the streets of Coolangatta during the festival, local road closures will occur during Cooly Rocks On 2019 in and around the Festival Precinct. Please be mindful of pedestrians and adhere to adjusted speed limits.
