Event Information

We will be back rocking from 9 – 13 June 2021 at Cooly Rocks On, we can’t wait to see you there!

Major Events Gold Coast (MEGC) identified an opportunity to enhance the festivals to create a better experience for both VIVA Surfers Paradise attendees and the Cooly Rocks On fans. Welcoming the spirit of VIVA, with an additional five days of Elvis activity will compliment the unique nostalgic experiences offered at Cooly Rocks On and create the ultimate celebration of the 50s, 60s and 70s.

Cooly Rocks On will not be losing any of the key event elements as part of the merge, rather it will be gaining a whole range of features from one of the Gold Coasts ultimate tribute artists festivals – VIVA Surfers Paradise. So get ready to celebrate the music, memories and moments of the 50s, 60s and 70s at Cooly Rocks On 2021.

There are plenty of accommodation options on the Gold Coast and you can see what’s close to Cooly Rocks On here. We always suggest getting in early to secure your spot. Unfortunately, due to the unknown and ever-changing environment we are currently operating in, we will not be able to bring back the Saturday Car Cruise and Sunday Street Parade in 2021. We are hopeful that if COVID-19 restrictions continue to ease we may be able to announce a second release of spaces. Due to the unknown and ever-changing environment we are currently operating in, a decision on a second release cannot be made until we get closer to the festival.
