Cooly Rocks On will be back 8-12 June 2022 in Coolangatta, Gold Coast.

Cooly Rocks On is located throughout the streets, parks and venues of Coolangatta on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

Cooly Rocks On is a FREE festival to attend.

You’re able to enjoy all of the Cooly Rocks On outdoor stages, Show ‘N’ Shine display and beachfront activations for free. There are a few festival features that require you to purchase a ticket, these are: the Harvest Moon Swing Ball, Show ‘N’ Shine entry, the Car Runs, Elvis Marquee, and the VIP Legends Pass.

No, pre-registration is not required for the Festival.

Cooly Rocks On is open for the public to attend, however, you will be encouraged to check-in using the Queensland Government mobile app, ‘Check In QLD’, this ensures we’re providing a COVID safe environment for not only our attendees but also the wider community.

There are plenty of accommodation options on the Gold Coast and you can see what’s close to Cooly Rocks On here. We always suggest getting in early to secure your spot. We also recommend enquiring about the refund/cancellation policy prior to making a booking – policies are becoming more flexible in these uncertain and ever-changing times.

Cooly Rocks On provides an inclusive environment for all attendees to enjoy five days of entertainment as we celebrate the motors, music and lifestyle of yesteryear. There will be accessible viewing areas throughout the festival that will be indicated by signage at outdoor stages. For venues, please contact them directly for information regarding accessibility viewing.

  • Wed-Fri parking available as normal (excluding Greenmount Car Park) – Street parking and The Strand Car Park.
  • Weekend Parking: Goodwin Park ($10 a day) and The Strand Car Park

There are a number of free parking areas in Coolangatta and surrounding Tweed Heads areas. Parking near the festival precinct is limited so it is recommended that you park in a secure area and catch public transport to the festival.

  • Wed – Fri – Accessible parking is available as signed in precinct and The Strand Car park. Greenmount Car Park is unavailable during this time so additional accessibility spaces will be provided in Chalk St Car Park (entrance via Mclean st).
  • Weekend: Accessible car parks will be reserved in Chalk St Car park (entrance via Mclean st) and The Strand Car Park.
  • During weekend road closures there will be drop off zones available in Lanham Street.
  • Accessible drop off zones will be available in Warner Street.

As the festival is held within a public area, local laws apply for bringing your pet to Cooly Rocks On. However, due to large crowds, loud music and revving of cars and motorcycles, we recommend that attendees leave their pets at home.

We have our fingers crossed for sunshine this June so we can enjoy all that Cooly Rocks On has to offer. In the event it rains or we have inclement weather during the festival our team will do all they can to minimise its impacts, if programming changes are required these will be communicated via our website and social media channels. – add this to faqs?

Cooly Rocks On will have a merchandise tent at the festival. Be sure to keep an eye out for it while you’re there. Stay tuned on our website, newsletter or social channels for further information to be released closer to the 2022 festival.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to confirm the 2023 dates at this stage, however, an announcement will be made via our social channels towards the end of the festival on the Sunday. Be sure to keep an eye out for it!

Show ‘N’ Shine tickets are on sale now! Click here to learn more and buy your ticket today.

Entering your motor into the Saturday and Sunday Show ‘N’ Shine is $80 plus booking fee ($84.40). If you’re entering a motorcycle it is $60 plus booking fee ($64.00)

Entering your motor into the Thursday and Friday Early Bird Show ‘N’ Shine is $60 plus booking fee ($64.00).

No. When entering your booked zone, vehicles will be allocated parking spaces in a sequence, you cannot pick your own space.

If you would like to park with your friends or family, please ensure you enter the zone together during the allocated zone entry times as per the Show ‘N’ Shine Entrant Manual.

Yes! You can book up to 10 spaces in a single booking. There is no limit on the number of spaces you book, however you can only reserve up to 10 at a time.

All entrant tickets can be booked through our ticketing partner Oztix. You will be able to choose your preferred zone and number of spaces within a zone you require.

Club submissions for the 2022 Show ‘N’ Shine have now closed.

Don’t worry, that doesn’t mean you can’t come together! Show ‘N’ Shine entrant tickets are on sale 10 March at 10AM AEST. Just make sure you have selected the same zone as the other members within your club when purchasing your ticket.

When entering your booked zone at the festival, vehicles will be allocated parking spaces in a sequence, you cannot pick your own space. 2023 Applications for car clubs will open at the end of the year.

Cooly Rocks On Show ‘N’ Shine Entrants will have the opportunity to purchase an exclusive, limited edition 2022 Entrant t-shirt. The t-shirt can be pre-ordered online when booking your Show ‘N’ Shine ticket or can be purchased from the official merchandise facility at the Festival.

Please note, limited stock will be available at the Festival, therefore we recommend pre-ordering your t-shirt online to avoid disappointment. If you wish to purchase your t-shirt at the Festival, you will be required to present your 2022 Show ‘N’ Shine ticket at the official merchandise facility.

No! Your motor vehicle does not need to be road registered for the Show ‘N’ Shine display, however you are required to adhere to local legislation in respect to transporting it to and from the event.

Yes, however in order to be situated next to your friend you will need to arrive to bump in at the same time as spaces will be allocated based on order of entry into the allocated zones. We recommend meeting up prior to arriving at the designated bump in locations.

Yes, if you’d like to transfer your ticket please contact us at [email protected] with your booking details and the details of the person who you wish to transfer to.

Yes! If you need to change the vehicle you are displaying, please email [email protected] with updated details including your name and new registration number.

Unfortunately, due to the concerns around patron safety, the Saturday Car Cruise and Sunday Street Parade will not take place at Cooly Rocks On 2022. We know that there may be a few people who are disappointed, but in order to create a safe environment at our festival we’ve had to make this tough decision.

There will still be plenty to see and do at Cooly Rocks On with the Show ‘N’ Shine, Car Runs, Kustomville, Markets, Pin-up Pageant and the ever popular Elvis Precinct taking place at the festival.

Yes, you’re able to enjoy live entertainment on all of the Cooly Rocks On outdoor stages and partnered venues for free. There are a few festival features that require you to purchase a ticket, these are feature shows within the Elvis Marquee, Harvest Moon Swingball and VIP After Party.

The Elvis Precinct at Cooly Rocks on is a ticketed venue. The VIP Legends Pass is an optional enhancement we offer to those who wish to take their Cooly Rocks On experience to the next level. The VIP Legends Pass includes Premium seating to all Feature Shows, meet and greets, an exclusive welcome party, access to the VIP after party, exclusive lunches and shows, king style gifts and merchandise, VIP beachfront bar, plus so much more.

We understand that the VIP Legends Pass is not for everyone, so in 2022 we will be introducing general admission tickets (Gold and SIlver) to each show so you can secure your spot in the Elvis Marquee for your shows of choice.

The 2022 Legends Pass will provide the ultimate Elvis inspired experience. Our VIP Legends Pass family will enjoy VIP seating, meet and greets, exclusive events throughout the festival, a VIP bar and a series of special ‘king’ style gifts just to name a few. 

The VIP Legends Pass inclusions are valued at over $1,000 and provide exclusive benefits across the five day festival, keeping this in mind we have opted to keep the price at a low $449. We understand that the VIP Legends Pass experience may not be for everyone, so we have introduced Gold and Silver general admission tickets.

Yes! Not only are we bringing you the exclusive VIP Legends Pass in 2022, but due to unprecedented demand in 2021, we’re giving you the chance to secure your spot for each show with the introduction of Gold and Silver general admission tickets. Prices vary, depending on the show and ticket type. 

Seat Selection is exclusive to VIP Legends Pass Holders.

Gold and Silver tickets will be allocated based on best available at the time of purchase.

The only feature show offering free seating in the Elvis Marquee is Gospel featuring Jack Gatto, Brody Finlay, Brendon Chase and The Brisbane Gospel Choir.

However, to ensure no one misses out, an outdoor screen will be placed in the Elvis Precinct Bar area for those unable to secure their spot in any of the ticketed feature shows.

Yes, we had so many of you asking about the Cooly Rocks On exclusive VIP After Party in 2021, that we decided why not close out the 2022 festival with a bang and give you the chance to join the party – yes that means you can buy your ticket to the VIP After Party.

Tickets to our Cooly Rocks On After Party will include performances from some of your favourite Elvis Tribute Artists, the opportunity to mingle with the performers from the festival, and canapes. There will be a cash bar in the venue to purchase your drinks for the night as you celebrate with friends new and old.

To comply with Local, State and Federal requirements, as a condition of entry, you are required to register yourself, and any additional attendees, to assist with contact tracing, should it be required.

The contact information will only be used to satisfy Government requirements to aid in contact tracing and will not be passed onto any 3rd party.

Yes! To ensure you don’t get stuck in the queue, please bring your printed ticket along with you or have it available on your phone.

Yes, we are working towards hosting International Artists, however, we will be dictated by travel restrictions and Queensland Health advice at the time of the festival.

The Harvest Moon Swing Ball is kid-friendly, however, tickets are required for all attendees in order to maintain numbers and ensure a COVID safe environment. We hope to see you there in June!

Entry to watch the Cooly Rocks On Pin-up Pageant is free, seats will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

Yes! As part of our commitment to inclusivity, a decision was made to merge the two pageants into one! This will allow Pin-ups from all walks of life an opportunity to participate in the pageant journey together, and to elevate the Pageant experience for both finalists and Cooly Rocks On attendees.

Covid-19

Cooly Rocks On will be guided by the requirements from the Queensland Government at the time of the festival.

As of 1AM AEST on 14 April 2022, the requirement to check-in and to be fully vaccinated in a range of venues and events has come to an end. This means under the current health directive, Cooly Rocks On attendees will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination at indoor venues including the Elvis Precinct that hosts feature shows, the Pin-up Pageant and Harvest Moon Swing Ball.

If at any point Queensland Government requirements change, we will update you via our Cooly Rocks On channels.

We are working to ensure that our Festival adheres to all Queensland Health COVID requirements. The health and safety of our attendees, volunteers and team is our top priority.

Attendees will be encouraged to check-in using the Queensland Government mobile app, ‘Check In QLD’ this ensures we’re providing a COVID safe environment for not only our attendees but the wider community. Our team will continue to monitor the ever-changing environment and continue to provide updates via our website and social media channels should there be any changes to festival programming.

We plan on delivering Cooly Rocks On as you know and love it in 2022. We are working with Queensland Health to ensure that our festival complies with all COVID-19 requirements. If restrictions change that impact programming and the format of the event, an announcement will be made via our social media channels and website.

We highly recommend enquiring about the refund/cancellation policy with respective businesses prior to making any bookings for this Festival, as any bookings made are at the discretion of the individual.
