Cooly Rocks On will be back 4-8 June 2025 in Coolangatta, Gold Coast.
Cooly Rocks On is located throughout the streets, parks and venues of Coolangatta on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
Cooly Rocks On is a FREE festival to attend.
You’re able to enjoy all of the Cooly Rocks On outdoor stages, Show ‘N’ Shine display and beachfront activations for free. There are numerous festival features that require you to purchase a ticket, these are: Show ‘N’ Shine entry for those wanting to display their cars, Elvis Marquee shows and the VIP Legends Pass.

Cooly Rocks On provides an inclusive environment for all attendees to enjoy five days of entertainment as we celebrate the motors, music and lifestyle of yesteryear. As the festival is held within a public area, local laws apply for bringing your pet to Cooly Rocks On. However, due to large crowds, loud music and revving of cars and motorcycles, we recommend that attendees leave their pets at home.
We have our fingers crossed for sunshine this June so we can enjoy all that Cooly Rocks On has to offer. In the event it rains or we have inclement weather during the festival our team will do all they can to minimise its impacts, if programming changes are required these will be communicated via our website and social media channels.
Cooly Rocks On festival merchandise can be purchased at the festival!
At this stage, pre-orders will not be available for our merchandise, however, the good news is there will be a merchandise tent at the festival from 4-8 June 2025.

The 2025 Show ‘N’ Shine is open to vehicles manufactured prior to and including 1979, featuring classic cars, hot rods, customs, motorcycles and more.

Absolutely not! It’s free to come and wonder the streets of Coolangatta and check out the impressive Show ‘N’ Shine display.

No! Your motor vehicle does not need to be road registered for the Show ‘N’ Shine display. However due to changes within the ASRF Insurance Policy, Travel Concessions can now only be provided to applicants for single day events and therefore Cooly Rocks On is unable to receive a sanction.
All ASRF Members wishing to enter the Cooly Rocks On Show ‘N’ Shine and other motor events associated with Cooly Rocks On will need to list their attendance on the ASRF QLD Impromptu Facebook Page.
Yes, however in order to be situated next to your friend you will need to arrive to bump in at the same time as spaces will be allocated based on order of entry into the allocated zones. We recommend meeting up prior to arriving at the designated bump in locations.
Yes! If you need to change the vehicle you are displaying, please email [email protected] with updated details including your name and new registration number.
Prior to the event you will be sent a Show ‘N’ Shine Entrant manual via email that will detail all information you need to know about Cooly Rocks On including how to access your allocated zone.

Yes, the Elvis Marquee is wheelchair accessible and accessible + companion seating is available for VIP Legends Pass Holders and General Admission. Those who require an accessible seat will receive a complimentary companion seat beside the accessible seat within the marquee (*Valid companion card must be shown during the festival). This will automatically be added at the time of booking.
The Elvis Marquee at Cooly Rocks On is a ticketed venue. The VIP Legends Pass is an optional enhancement we offer to those who wish to take their Cooly Rocks On experience to the next level. The VIP Legends Pass includes premium seating to all feature shows in the Elvis Marquee, marquee wait staff, exclusive international headliner meet and greets, VIP Legends goodie bags, exclusive events, and MORE throughout the festival.
If you don’t want to experience Cooly Rocks On like ‘The King’, you will still be able to experience a number of shows by purchasing General Admission tickets.

Yes! Please bring your printed ticket or have it available on your phone to collect your VIP Legends Pass memorabilia pack which will include a lanyard that will grant you access to all the VIP inclusions. Once you have the lanyard, you will not be required to bring your ticket to the festival each day.

Entry to watch the Cooly Rocks On Pin-up Pageant is free, seats will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

Covid-19
Cooly Rocks On will be guided by the requirements from the Queensland Government at the time of the festival.
As of 1AM AEST on 14 April 2022, the requirement to check-in and to be fully vaccinated in a range of venues and events has come to an end. This means under the current health directive, Cooly Rocks On attendees will no longer be required to show proof of vaccination at indoor venues including the Elvis Precinct that hosts feature shows, the Pin-up Pageant and Harvest Moon Swing Ball.
If at any point Queensland Government requirements change, we will update you via our Cooly Rocks On channels.
We are working to ensure that our Festival adheres to all Queensland Health COVID requirements. The health and safety of our attendees, volunteers and team is our top priority.
Attendees will be encouraged to check-in using the Queensland Government mobile app, ‘Check In QLD’ this ensures we’re providing a COVID safe environment for not only our attendees but the wider community. Our team will continue to monitor the ever-changing environment and continue to provide updates via our website and social media channels should there be any changes to festival programming.
We plan on delivering Cooly Rocks On as you know and love it in 2022. We are working with Queensland Health to ensure that our festival complies with all COVID-19 requirements. If restrictions change that impact programming and the format of the event, an announcement will be made via our social media channels and website.

Ultimately the decision to book flights and accommodation is yours, however we recommend getting in sooner rather than later as accommodation in Coolangatta and surrounding Gold Coast is filling up fast. Check out where to stay on the Gold Coast here.
Cooly Rocks On will be guided by the Queensland Government’s COVID-19 regulations. Unfortunately, any border restrictions that are in place at the time of the Festival will be out of our control. We will be sure to keep you informed on any modifications required to the programming or format of the Festival.
We plan to see Cooly Rocks On go ahead as we know and love it in 2022. However, given these uncertain and ever-changing times, it is hard to know what is ahead. We highly recommend enquiring about the refund/cancellation policy with respective businesses prior to making any bookings for this Festival, as any bookings made are at the discretion of the individual.

We plan on delivering Cooly Rocks On as you know and love it in 2022. However, in these uncertain and ever-changing times, we will be governed by the Queensland Government’s COVID-19 regulations which will determine how we can deliver the event and ensure a COVID Safe environment.
