Welcome to Cooly Rocks On 2024
Message from the Mayor of the City of Gold Coast Tom Tate
Get ready to rock ‘n’ roll as we dive into five days of pure nostalgia celebrating the motors, music and lifestyle of yesteryear at Cooly Rocks On 2024.
I love watching this festival get bigger and better every year. Last year saw record-breaking crowds filling the streets of Coolangatta to experience the festival’s undeniable charm.
Coolangatta will once again be decorated with a jaw-dropping showcase of classic cars, hot rods, customs and muscle cars. This year’s entertainment lineup boasts some of the finest Australian rock ’n’ roll, rockabilly and swing artists.
Let’s not forget my personal festival favourite – Elvis tribute artists will grace our stages from across the world, taking us back to The King’s golden era and battling it out to be crowned the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist.
So dust off your dancing shoes, slick back your hair and join us for a trip down memory lane at Cooly Rocks On 2024. It’s a celebration like no other.
I applaud Experience Gold Coast and Tourism and Events Queensland for bringing this incredible festival to life.
See you there!
Message from the Minister for Tourism and Sport, The Hon. Michael Healy MP

Message from Experience Gold Coast CEO – John Warn
For five days every winter, the Gold Coast turns back the clock to the days of rock ‘n’ roll, glamour, hot rods and Holdens.
Cooly Rocks On is the country’s largest nostalgia festival celebrating the motors, music and lifestyle of an era that continues to delight. Held in the iconic beach destination of Coolangatta, this award-winning festival has something for everyone. If you’re a fan of Elvis, the USA’s Dwight Icenhower will be Taking Care of Business as one of our international headline Elvis acts this year, plus there’s the annual Pinup Pageant, one of the biggest showcases of classic cars in Australia and plenty of music and dancing.
Making the annual pilgrimage to the Gold Coast for Cooly Rocks On has become a rite of passage for nostalgia lovers and classic car owners from across the country with more than 160,000 people enjoying the festival in perfect winter sunshine in 2023.
A huge thank you to our strategic partners – City of Gold Coast and Tourism and Events Queensland – and to all our 2024 Sponsor Family. We also welcome back MND & Me as our official charity partner again in 2024.
Dig out your blue suede shoes and come down to Cooly Rocks On from 5-9 June and see what all the fuss is about!
